Cory told me she wouldn't even notice/care about me putting something on her door... so it pretty much thrilled me when it was the first thing she noticed that morning. :)
Right after this photo, Finley decided to put the candle out with her fingers. She cried for about 5 seconds and then got over it.
Using our family's special day plate for the first of many times!
This was the very first shot!!!! I got into position and then told Cory to put her down and I snapped it immediately. It was a good thing too because she was interested in everything BUT the camera after this picture.
This is Finley's pediatrician, Dr. Lyon. She is WONDERFUL! Finley had her 1 year wellness check today and she was a trooper. She got 3 shots and her blood drawn. Still not my favorite thing, but she was 'over it' within 30 seconds, so it was a bit easier on me. She weights 22lb, 10oz which is in the 86th%. Her height is 31in. and in the 94th%. We were happy to report she is 100% off of formula and just about done with bottles. She has been so easy to transition! Now, to work on that Nuk........... :)
Finley has been such a DREAM this past year. She loves to clap, laugh, and dance whenever possible. She is saying 'uh-oh, mama, dada, dog, hi, hello, up, and all done'. She has 7 teeth now and is doing really well with eating solid foods. She loves hot dogs, cheese, yogurt, turkey, and all fruit. She is not the biggest fan of veggies, but will eat them if they are slightly blended. She can stand and shake her booty while not holding on to anything and despite taking a few steps, hasn't shown much interest in walking. Cory and I are completely fine with this!!!! :)
Finley is a blessing from God. From the moment I met her a year ago I was completely head-over-heels in love with her.l I never knew I could be as happy as I am being a mom. She makes every day fun and full of love. I have so enjoyed the first year of her life and can't wait to see what her future holds!!! Happy Birthday, sweet girl!
