Finley meets more family!

Daddy had to work yesterday, so Finley and I decided to go on a road trip to Chicago so she could meet two of her great-aunts and see great-grandma Reid again!

This is Finley and her Great-Auntie Con.  She is Finley's Grandpa Joe's sister.

Life's a beach!

Finley and I went to the beach this afternoon with two of my awesome friends, Andrea and Tiffany (They teach with me at UGES) and their adorable girls Sadie and Ava.  We had a blast!
Even though Finley can't technically go in the sun, she still needed to look stylish of course :)

Me with my girl.  LOVE HER!
Ava helped Finley get used to the cold water by slowly pouring some water on her toes.
We didn't stay in long, but Finley truly loves the water!  She is like her mommy.
Thanks for having us over Andrea and Sadie.  It was wonderful spending time with you and Tiffany and Ava!

2 months old!

You know what they say.... time flies when you're having fun!
That is all that we have with our little peanut!  She got her first set of shots and was a total champ!  She weighs 11 lb. 10 oz (75th%) and is 23.5 in. long (90%).  She started to sleep in her crib about 2 weeks ago and she has done SO well in there.  She is consistently going to bed around 8:00, gets up to eat around 2:00 and then goes right back to sleep till about 5:30-6:00.

She is not a huge fan of 'tummy time', but then how many babies are?! :)  She is getting really good at tracking things to the left and right with her eyes, is smiling like crazy, makes eye contact, has recognized that she has hands and stares at them a lot, is cooing and vocalizing quite a bit, and overall has a really cheery disposition.  We look forward to what the next month of milestones will be!

Finley's First State Fair Experience

We took a pit stop under a tent to take advantage of the shade.  It was about 95 degrees!
This was right after Cory and I polished off a delicious red velvet funnel cake!
The state fair wore her out!  She fell asleep in daddy's arms while we were enjoying the AC in the Expo center.

Finley meets Great-Grandpa Ken!

This is Finley with her cousin, Oliver.  Oliver is 3 days older than Finley.

Something above them must have caught their attention. :)
This is Cory's Grandpa Ken and Finley's Great-Grandpa.  She clearly likes him judging by the smile on her face!

Cory was able to get off of work in time to join all of us for dinner.  We hope we get to see you again soon, Great-Grandpa!

A visit with the newlyweds

I was getting a bit stir crazy and tired of looking at the four walls of our house, so Finley and I took a trip to Milwaukee to see her Godmother and Godfather that just got back from their honeymoon!
This is their adorable dog, Bernie.  She LOVES Finley.  She brought her ball over and...

...and put it in Finley's carseat and then just sat there as if to say, "Let's play!"  SO cute :)

Finley loves her Godmother and Godfather!
Thanks for the yummy lunch, great company, the wonderful gift, and for sharing your honeymoon pics.  See you soon :)

Bathtime

Finley LOVES bathtime.  It is part of our nighttime ritual before she goes to bed for the night.
Daddy has started to give Finley her bath when he gets home in time for work.  They have a lot of fun together.
Careful of the eyes, Daddy! :)
