A different view of our town

Stone Manor takes my breath away every time I walk past it.
Cory got to join us this time!
 Lake Geneva from the path
We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place!

I think Finley would walk all 26 miles around the lake! (ok, maybe not yet :))  She really enjoys taking it all in!

13 Months Old!

This year we are going to take our monthly pictures in lots of different places :)
Finley has become a pretty serious mimic this month.  She tries to say everything that we say... which means we need to start watching what we say around her! ;)  She pretty religiously says mama, dada, dog, up, more, out, uh-oh, all done, yeah, and of course NO!  This month she added more drama to that word by shaking her head back and forth as well.

She is eating EVERYTHING.  She is into EVERYTHING.  She laughs at EVERYTHING.
She is still not walking... We are both completely fine with that.  We are enjoying the calm before the storm!  I am feeling VERY spoiled that I get to spend my summers with her.  I can't believe how blessed I am!

A Lake Stroll

Finley's great-grandma Bloch found us this jogging stroller last summer at a garage sale for $20!  It needed some thorough cleaning and air in the tires...Now it works great!  We have used it the last 3 days-once to go for a run and twice for the Lake Geneva lake path.  Finley loves every minute of it - especially the lake path.

There is a section with these beautiful trees that hang over the water.

We have definitely started a new summer day tradition :)

Backyard Fun!

We were finally able to get out all of our new backyard toys!  Finley had so much fun playing in her water table, going down her slide, and playing in the sandbox.  She slept well that night!

 Silly girl!
Finally getting used to the feel of grass.  Thank goodness!

The nerve of daddy to splash her!!!!

Also got brave enough to play in the sand.  She LOVED it!

Of course, she tried to eat it as well..... She was not a fan and we didn't think she would do it again, but....

We were so happy that our friends the Mitchells stopped by on their way out of town!  Maddie and Finley will be lifelong friends :)
I love this pic...  Maddie is like 'HEY! it's my turn'
Still stands on her own.... still no walking.  This makes me a happy momma :)
She ended the day eating sand again... Silly kid!

Cozy 'Coop' Car

We finally busted out Finley's car that we got from the Wozniaks (THANK YOU!).  She loved it!

We have a slight hill in our backyard, so Cory would push her and she would clap and squeal as she rolled down the hill.

Clapping for joy that daddy pushed her again!
She kept running into this branch and she thought it was pretty funny!
We will definitely be doing this many, many times!

Finley's New Kitchen

We decided it was time to get the kitchen out of the basement now that we put the Jumperoo away and have some room for it.  We got this adorable kitchen from a friend of mine at school (I had her daughter in class a couple of years ago).  We are so grateful because Finley LOVES it.  She plays with it while I am right next door making dinner in my kitchen.

She was taking the pots and pans out of the drawer and lining them up in the oven.

She mostly just likes to clear out all of the cabinets and put the stuff in her mouth for now.  I am sure this will provide her with endless entertainment for many years to come!
